Last week, I drove down to Southern California for vacation with my friends and girlfriend. Last year when I came to visit, I had the opportunity to visit a popular soda shop I found through Reddit. If you go on reddit you probably know I am referring to, Galco’s Soda Pop Stop in Los Angeles. If you have no clue what I am talking about, here is the video that made this place a popular hipster place to visit.
As you can tell, this guy knows and loves his job. His passion, honestly, makes this place very intriguing to visit. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to visit last year and loved the place. I came with a few buddies and we stocked about 30+ on drinks. Each cost anywhere from $1.29 to $2. Usually I do not drink soda, but this place is stocked with drinks you have never heard of. In fact, they also have beer and wine that may be rare to the normal drinker.
A year later, I decide to visit the place again. No surprise, the place was still great. Stocked with the same drinks I saw last time and also with ones that were new. The two reasons why I wanted to come back was because of their Cucumber Soda and Rose Soda. In my opinion, these two are the best out of the ones on stock.
They obviously have others you can choose from like the old school Dad’s Root Beer, Ginger Beer, and so forth. However, these two are top ones you must buy.
Overall, I recommend this place to anyone. Even if you do not like soda. They will have ones that are light and taste like something you normally wouldn’t find on a fountain drink machine.
