Are you a cheapskate who like tacos at a low affordable price? Well, I do and Chando’s Tacos is one of those type of places located in Sacramento, California.
About over a year ago, I was in the area for an annual conference that was being held in the area. Knowing I was going to probably be hungry right after the event, I contacted one of my buddies in the area to grab lunch. Not being from the area, I requested my friend to find a location close and cheap. I wasn’t exactly sure on what I wanted, but I knew I was craving anything with some meat (Giggity). As a result, my friend decided to take me to one of his favorite spots, Chando’s Tacos.
Chando’s in general is a small building in Sacramento that serves their customers through a sliding door where they are able to order and pick-up their food. In other words, a drive-thru system minus the cars. In addition, they have an eating area located in the back of the building where they allow their customers to sit and relax while eating their food.
As you can tell from the photos above, their menu is very affordable. If you are craving a simple taco, this is a good spot to check out for their pricing. One of the biggest positives to this is their variety of meats. Being so cheap you may sometimes worry their choice of meats may be limited. Thankfully, this place wasn’t and allowed their customers to order more than your typical three choices of meat for a cheap price.

As for my meal, I ordered some of their fish tacos. I am a big fish taco fan so I had to try theirs once I saw it on their menu. To my delight, I enjoyed them. Not for the fish in particular, but instead for their sauce and salsa. Don’t get me wrong, the fish in the taco was very good. However, the highlight to me was the sauce they put with it. Definitely tasted fresh and was a needed moisture for the taco. I also think the value of the price is what made it good for me too. You know the saying, if you are able to get it for cheap or free, the food always tastes better. Therefore, if you are ever in the area and craving a small, but fulfilling meal, this is a good spot to check out.
The sauce is worth it.
